commissions and freelance work
I am available for freelance illustration or graphic design work. Prices depend on project size, but estimates are free. Please contact me with inquiries.
types of freelance work
digital illustration
Hand-drawn art created in Procreate on iPad, Adobe Photoshop, or Adobe Illustrator. Digital illustration can range from digital portraits, to character art for your games, to professional vector graphics. No AI is used. Please see my gallery for examples.
acrylic on canvas works
Commission me for a physical-media painting (acrylic paint on canvas). Pricing for commissioned acrylic works includes both materials and time and may include delivery costs if applicable. Please see my gallery for examples.
custom projects
Have you reviewed my gallery and want to commission me for a custom project — like book illustration, character concept and design, book covers, or more? Contact me to discuss your idea. Estimates are provided free of charge.
commission process
My commission process is clear and structured with specific timelines and deliverables. As part of your commission, I will give you an overview of what to expect and when. All commissions come with at least 1 round of approvals/revisions from the client. Final files can be optimized for print, web, or both.
example process
- Estimate — first, contact me with your project details and I will give you a free estimate. You are under no obligation to go ahead with any estimate, and estimates can be adjusted to meet your budget.
- Project Outline — once you confirm the estimate, I will share a project outline. This will include the steps and an estimated timeline.
- Concepts — I begin commissions with concept work. For a simple character portrait, the concept might be a sketch for the client to approve. For more complex works, the concept phase may include several rounds. Either way, you will get to see the work at a "rough draft" stage and provide your feedback.
- Main Creative Work — once the concept is approved, the main creative work begins. This is always the longest part of the project. Depending on the complexity of the project, the main creative work phase may have one or more check-ins with the client.
- Final Approval — once the work is complete, a low-res sample is shared with you for your final approval. Usually at this stage I can make small adjustments for free. Larger or more complex adjustments at this stage may come with an additional fee, to be discussed and approved.
- Delivery of final files — once you have fully approved the work, I will create your final files. These may include print-ready files, web-optimized files, or both — depending on the project. For acrylic paintings, the final phase will be adding a UV-resistant varnish and allowing it to dry.
